Great program, but how to use new icons?

I like the IconEdit program and have designed some nice icons which I would like to use for programs that came without icons (Symbian Basic v0.9 for instance!).

How do I go about making the new icon available for the OS to match it with an application?

I'm using a Nokia 9300.
