Quick way back to Main Screen

Postby monqs on Tue Oct 21, 2008 11:13 pm

In iDesk I have iDesk folders a number of levels deep. Is there a quick way of navigating back to the main (root) folder ?

I have set up a hot key to display a list of folders, but the main (root) folder does not appear on this list.

Many thanks,

Regards,

Hi Martin

There is in the latest version (standard shortcut Ctrl-M). I can't remember whether or not I released that already though. Since I no longer have a OPL capable machine, I will make one final release of the software and then make the source code publically available so you can build your own functionality.

Hello Arjen,
Nice to hear from you. I am using version 1.46 of iDesk and Ctrl+M does nothing. I look forward to seeing the latest verison.

What platform have you moved to and are you doing any development on that new platform. Unfortunately, OPL seems to be almost buried at this stage and I am thinking of possible replacements for a hobby programmer / dabbler. OPL is great is that one can write useful little utilities without getting too deep into programming.

Best wishes,
Martin

Hi Martin

I''ve been a bit "under water" the last couple of months (work and family), but things are looking up. I'll try to make all my OPL stuff available in the next week or so. Right now I'm using a Nokia E90 and, although I'm still trying to get used to S60, it now completely has replaced my 9500. For quick utilities I'm now dabbling a bit with Python for S60. Even though the UI stuff is a lot less mature than OPL, it does allow some pretty nifty stuff since it has built-in support for almost everything you can do with the phone (calls, contacts, agenda, database, GPS, connectivity like GPRS, Bluetooth etc). My first small application is a utility that connects to an internet time server and synchronizes your device with it. All in all no more than about 100 lines of code. If time permits, I'll put up a pydev section under broeze.eu...
